Rob Edwards Director
Rob is an American television and feature film screenwriter and producer. He began his career writing for series including Full House, A Different World, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and created the NBC sitcom Out All Night. He later joined Walt Disney Animation Studios, writing Treasure Planet and The Princess and the Frog, both of which were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. For The Princess and the Frog, he received the Best Screenplay award from the African-American Film Critics Association. Fencer marks his feature directorial debut.
David Baxter Producer
David is the founder of Larger than Life Entertainment and Chief Creative Officer of Content Republic. He most recently served for 9 years as VP of Development at Legion M, the groundbreaking fan-owned entertainment company. David is an award-winning WGA writer. He earned his master's from UCLA's Producer's Program. As a producer, his credits include films with Nicolas Cage, William Shatner, Joe Manganiello, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, Minnie Driver, and Simon Pegg.
Christopher Petzel Producer
Christopher is the Chairman of Content Republic and the founder and Managing Director of Broadside Capital. He has worked on the financing of several hundred million dollars of entertainment assets. As a producer, his credits include films with Nicolas Cage, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Sylvester Stallone. As an investment banker, his clients have included The Walt Disney Co. and DreamWorks. He has extensive background in IP valuation and has managed writers and international rights buyers.
Phil Andrews Executive Producer
Phil became CEO of USA Fencing in August 2022 and has since overseen the most transformative period in the organization’s history. Membership has grown by more than 25% under his leadership, surpassing 50,000 members in the 2025-26 season as USA Fencing pursues its goal of 70,000 members by the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Team USA reinforced the sport's momentum by winning four medals, including two gold, at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Andrews has built USA Fencing's commercial program from a handful of value-in-kind arrangements into a seven-figure annual portfolio that includes more than 30 partnerships and growing. Landmark deals include a multiyear partnership with Cloudflare, an agreement with CNBC to bring The Fencing Show to millions of American households, and an innovative academic partnership with Dwight Global Online School.
Under his leadership, USA Fencing has seen website traffic grow 42% and social media impressions rise by 41%, thanks in part to a new influencer program that invites some of the country’s best creators and biggest celebrities to try fencing. Recent collaborations have included Rocky IV star Dolph Lundgren; Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button and his wife, Brittny; and Broadway actress Jenna Ushkowitz.
Before joining USA Fencing, Andrews led USA Weightlifting for nearly a decade, becoming one of the youngest national governing body chief executives in U.S. history when named permanent CEO at age 26. He also briefly served as Interim Director General of the International Weightlifting Federation — the only person ever to simultaneously lead both an IF and an NGB in the sport.
Born and raised in England, Andrews holds citizenship in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada. He resides in Denver with his wife and daughter.
Carl Borack Executive Producer
Carl is an America producer and former competitive fencer. He competed in the individual and team events in the 1972 Munich Olympics. He won a team gold medal in Epee in the 1967 Pan American Games and a team Gold Medal in Foil in the 1971 Pan American Games. In 1969, he was US National Champion in Foil. Carl was the most accomplished three-weapon fencer of his era.
From 1985 to 2000, he served as Captain of the US Fencing team and was Captain of the 1988, 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympic teams. As a producer, he has worked in all mediums and has produced seven feature films, including Shiloh, The Big Fix and The Final Season. He is in his twenty-sixth year serving on the FIE (International Fencing Federation) Promotion, Communication & Marketing Commission.

Hans Jörg is a seasoned entertainment and marketing executive who worked with Orion Pictures, Alexander Salkind (Superman), Goldcrest, Dino DeLaurentiis (Conan the Barbarian, Flash Gordon), Richard Branson's Virgin Vision across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and Ogilvy & Mather.
